The game so far - Caps/Flyers Game 4
Caught the game starting in the 2nd. Caps looked much better, though the Green and Kozlov calls were complete B.S. considering how chippy the Flyers have been playing all series.
Overtime…
…and the Flyers win in Double OT. The Caps had better chances in the first overtime. They hung in there, and Cristobal Huet was brilliant, in spite of bad penalty calls in the context of questionable non-calls throughout the game. But it wasn’t enough.
‘Til Saturday, where the Caps will have to contend with two sets of opponents on the ice: one is a team that needs the smirk of entitlement smacked off its face, the other is Earl Hebner.

They’ll be fine w/ Nash and Zherdev and LeClaire. They have a good coach and the team’s bought into his system. Did you follow hockey before the Blue Jackets came into existence?

Actually, I am a new(ish) hockey fan, it has been about 10 years, but I really got into it the year of the lock out and started following the Cincinnati Ducks (AHL affiliate for Anaheim). How about you?

Didn’t follow hockey much growing up. That changed when the Rangers and Devils won their Cups in the mid-90s. Then I went to school in DC. My freshman year of college was 10 years ago, the year this team went to the Cup Final. It was Olaf Kolzig’s goalie mask and Peter Bondra’s goal-scoring that got me hooked on this team.
